what else is there to do on a friday morning, other than make movies with your friend emily? the final project has yet to be edited, below is what happened post filming:
p.s. about this new drawing, I call it "Barbara and the Airplanes." I drew it from intuition, "I dunno, airplanes flying around some lady's head seems right." Tonight the epiphany came: the airplanes represent change; embarking on new adventures. My dreams have been really weird lately, change is in the air. I am graduating soon and it's freaking me out on one hand, the calm side of me says it will all work out, but the other side is losing it. Also, once you are in the air, you can either have a catastrophic crash landing, or a smooth one. There isn't any other way down, this isn't science folks, just facts. I'm just saying there are always risks involved, that's all. That's what the airplanes are: risks. 
Yes, brother Rhett is back, bass face and all: a glorious band reunion.
Good food and company
Lastly, it is ALMOST bicycling weather again (I am not as hard core as my mom, it is always bicycling weather for her) Today I went as far as I could on the Provo river trail, it ends with snow covering up the trail. I about biffed it 5 times, the skinny tires can't handle anything icy. But hot dang, it felt good to get out, the bitter wind in my face; my cheeks streamed with tears from the chill...I felt alive.
How did you fare in February?
...Is stay in my bed, nurse my head-cold, and forget all about final papers and crap like that. I have tried to start this paper multiple times, it is the only thing that stands between me and my diploma. Whaaa....see, I'm blogging while I should be working on it.
Bridget is such a brave woman. Her life is always an adventure- from living in Scotland, Hawaii, to Moscow Idaho:), traveling South Africa, New Zealand, South America, there isn't a place she hasn't been. She has taken on Chicago now in all it's glory and works as a substitute teacher by day and brilliant actress by night. It was great to spend the weekend with her in her historic house. She is a model for health and good manners: in other words we drank lots of tea.
Sunday we went to the Chicago Folk Music festival where we learned Greek and Jewish dances, then danced the two-step together for two hours while a band played Creole music. It was exhausting. and fun. It was also funny to be two women dancing together for a loooong time. Bridget is an excellent leader, and kept me from crashing into people, I wish I could say the same for me.

The doorknobs in Bridget's house were all like this. Chicago is full of these relics, I couldn't believe it, so cool. Thanks Bridget for a lovely weekend!

Lissa has been in town for the week, reminding me of all things good, natural, and recyclable. I found this picture while reminiscing about our Bellingham days. The book I'm reading is called "How to be a Bellinghamster, by Sunshine Freedom." It was the hippiest name I could think of at the time I took the picture (fyi, that was a costume I was wearing, I didn't dress like that usually.) Below is a picture of us on one of our excursions to Seattle, dancing in the public market...let the good times roll. I'm glad Lissa is still my friend, and Lauren too!
