Maybe the best day of the year...

Today, might have been the warmest day of the year. Geoffrey and Asher spent most of the morning working on the "Bofo," that is Asherese for volvo. It was a Saturday. I felt so American with my neighborhood house, child, dog, and husband working on the car, while I made sandwiches and folded laundry.

This reminded me of Tom saying that when he was a kid, his dad made him &/or his brothers go outside and hand him tools while he (dad) was working on the car or what ever the project was. He learned a lot from doing that, even though he didn't like it, and is now pretty handy as a result. His dad used to say that he figured his IQ was probably at least as high as the____ (fill in the blank), so would do all sorts of work himself- carpentry, cars, plumbing, etc. Anyway, Asher is lucky to get to spend time "working" with his dad.
