Andrew wanted to celebrate his acceptance to BSU with a dance party, everyone obliged. Some people wore costumes. Ivy even did some break dancing, not bad for a six-year-old.
My mom has been talking about the changes and improvements she has been making on the house. Living far away, I could never see what she was up to. Now that I am so close to the nest, you could say that I'm back in the nest, I thought I'd document the house for my siblings who are so far from the motherland of the fox clan. Dad, reading the paper in the afternoon. Andrew, asleep in the afternoon. It wouldn't be home without "Todd the fox," I recall that Ben christened him with that name? never mind the massacred bear cub on the floor...Ruby actually likes to sit behind his head and pet the ears. The happy couple.
As Mom says: "To make a home is good. To love your home is better, but love at home is always best."
I'm dedicating this post to LAUREN: congrats on getting into the nursing program at Boise State! She (and my Dad:)) have spent countless nights doing quizzes on Blackboard. I lived with Lauren her freshman year of college, she has come a long way from napping through afternoon classes, playing guitar when she could have been studying (I had nothing to do with that), and staying up late to talk on the phone, remember how I was so mean to you about that? sorry. Lauren never misses class these days, she studies, she does elaborate work outs. Congrats to Lauren!!! p.s. she also makes sure her daughter gets plenty of soy products.
i visited lissa and fam this weekend in colorado. she flew over from washington and her brother and sister let me hop along for the drive from salt lake to fort collins. here is the fun and adventurous ward family: chesley and i in estes park balancing with lissa the siblings and a red volkswagon bus in background sunday dinner out on the lawn. it was a fabulous weekend, too bad i'm too exhausted to write any more... thanks lissa and fam!
Erin wanted me to tell the family that I got 200 dollars in the mail for winning an art contest. Instead of telling just the fam, I'm telling the WHOLE WORLD. How did it feel, you wonder? Just like passing go...
