We rode from the Portland to Hillsboro... does that count?? I got to sit by strangers while Doug stood reading his book and holding on to the rail with one hand. It was terribly romantic.

I had never been on a train until we went to europe. once we got to italy, we took the train everywhere...it was GREAT! I actually really liked it. more room than a plane, definitely more romantic, room to move around. I think it's an all around cool way to travel.
