Happy Birthday to Whitney (birthday was a week ago) and my Dad (today)! Last year I made Dad this carrot cake, wish I could be where you are to make you another one. Happy Birthday to two of the best people in my family!

Thanks, Emily. Since you weren't available for carrot cake, Mom made me a pecan pie and a strawberry pie, with Breyer's vanilla bean ice cream and squirt whipped cream to add, ad lib. It was really good, like your cake last year.
